Genryzon (Somatrogon), is a medication for the treatment of growth hormone deficiency. Somatrogon is a glycosylated protein constructed from human growth hormone and a small part of human chorionic gonadotropin which is appended to both the N-terminal and C-terminal.

Genryzon (somatrogon) is a synthetic growth hormone that works by replacing the lack of growth hormone in the body. Genryzon is taken by injection just below the skin. Compared to the growth hormone GENOTROPIN^® (somatropin), its action in the body lasts longer, enabling weekly injections instead of daily. Genryzon is approved for the treatment of pediatric growth hormone deficiency (GHD) in Canada, Australia and Japan, and the EU marketing authorization is valid in all EU Member States as well as Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein.

The next-generation long-acting recombinant human growth hormone somatrogon, is a once-weekly injection to treat children and adolescents from 3 years of age with growth disturbance due to insufficient secretion of growth hormone. Genryzon provides pediatric patients, their caregivers and healthcare providers with a new treatment option for growth hormone deficiency (GHD) that reduces the frequency of required injections from once daily to once weekly.

GHD is a rare disease characterized by the inadequate secretion of the growth hormone, somatropin, from the pituitary gland and affects one in approximately 4,000 to 10,000 children worldwide. The disease can be caused by genetic mutations or acquired after birth. Without treatment, affected children will have persistent growth attenuation and a very short height in adulthood, and puberty may be delayed.Children may also experience other problems with physical health and mental well-being.

The safety and efficacy of Genryzon (somatrogon) was demonstrated in a randomized, open-label, active-controlled Phase 3 study conducted in over 20 countries. In this study, 224 prepubertal, treatment-naïve children with growth hormone deficiency (GHD) were randomized 1:1 to receive NGENLA once-weekly or GENOTROPIN^® (somatropin) once-daily. The study met its primary endpoint of Genryzon non-inferiority compared to GENOTROPIN, as measured by annual height velocity at 12 months. Genryzon was generally well tolerated in the study and had a safety profile comparable to GENOTROPIN. Participants had the opportunity to enroll in a global, open-label, multicenter, long-term extension study in which they were able to either continue receiving or switch to Genryzon. Approximately 95% of the patients switched into the open-label extension study and received Genryzon treatment.

Genryzon 24mg Injection is a long-acting recombinant human growth hormone (GH) analogue used to treat growth hormone deficiency in children and adolescents aged three years and above. This medication promotes normal growth by stimulating bone and muscle development and helps maintain a balanced ratio of fat and muscle tissues. It is produced using recombinant DNA technology, where cells are modified in a lab to create the active substance somatrogon.

Apart from treating growth deficiencies, Genryzon 24mg Injection aids in improving muscle mass, bone density, and overall body composition. However, it is contraindicated in individuals with severe obesity, active cancer, diabetes, acute critical illness, sleep apnea, hypersensitivity, and other severe conditions. If you or your child experience difficulty breathing, rapid heart rate, swelling, or severe allergic reactions, contact your doctor immediately.

Patients with a history of heart problems, diabetes, cancer, or thyroid dysfunction should inform their healthcare provider before starting treatment. It is unknown if Genryzon 24mg Injection affects fertility. Use of this medication during pregnancy is not recommended, and it is advised to consult your doctor if pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Genotropin 12mg Solution for Injection is given as an injection into the skin under the supervision of a doctor.  Your doctor or nurse will help you to learn the exact method of self-administration. You should receive appropriate training and instructions from the physician before using it. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.

The most common side effects of this medicine include injection site reaction, headache, and rash. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have ever had diabetes, or have a thyroid disorder. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works.  Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You may be asked for regular monitoring of blood sugar levels, kidney function and level of growth hormone before and during the treatment.

Bdocterio 20mg injection contains the active substance octreotide. It is a synthetic compound derived from somatostatin, a substance naturally found in the human body that inhibits the effects of certain hormones, such as growth hormones. It is used to reduce the amount of growth hormone produced by people with acromegaly (a condition in which the body produces too much growth hormone, causing enlargement of the hands, feet, and facial features; joint pain; and other symptoms) who cannot be treated with surgery, radiation, or another medication. 

It is also used to control diarrhea and flushing caused by carcinoid tumors (slow-growing tumors that release natural substances that can cause symptoms) and vasoactive intestinal peptide-secreting adenomas (VIP-omas; tumors that form in the pancreas and release natural substances that can cause symptoms). It is used to prevent complications following surgery of the pancreas gland.  It is also indicated to stop bleeding and to protect from re-bleeding from ruptured gastro-esophageal varices in patients suffering from chronic liver disease. This medicine is used to treat people with pituitary tumors that produce too much thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) when other types of treatment (surgery or radiotherapy) are not suitable or have not worked and after radiotherapy, to cover the interim period until the radiotherapy becomes fully effective. 

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to octreotide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Inform your physician if you have gallstones, high or low blood sugar levels, vitamin B12 deficiency, and liver diseases. Bdocterio 20mg injection may lower your heart rate, and very high doses can cause abnormal heart rhythm, so your doctor may monitor your heart function regularly during the treatment. Inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before initiating the treatment.

Genotropin 16IU Injection is given by a healthcare professional. You should not self-administer this medicine at home. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take them. You should use it regularly to get the most benefit from the medicine. Do not stop using the medicine even if you feel better unless the doctor tells you so.

Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, flatulence, and headache. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects do not go away or get worse.

Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you have problems with your liver. You should also tell your doctor all the other medicines you are taking. Your doctor may monitor your blood glucose regularly while on treatment with this medicine.
